Virginia FPSer wins International Scenario Writing competition

Sandra Edwards-Thro, a Grafton Middle School student coached by William Thro, has been named the first place Middle Division Scenario Writing international champion for 2009. Her scenario, entitled Dear World, was written on the topic of Pandemics.

Scenario Synopsis

In 2157, a virus swept through the futuristic version of the Internet, the Sea. Neurochipped people used the Sea to download knowledge and TP with their friends. Ten billion dies from the Sea Virus. Now, a hundred years later, a Martian historian is searching for what really caused the Sea Virus. When he does find out the horrible truth, he doesn't know whom to tell. He lives in a society where people are too used to the artificial, convenient world of subterranean Mars. So he writes a letter to Earth.
